Music Is In Our Blood
We maybe not a family of musicians but I’m telling you that we are a bunch of music lovers. We listen to all types and genres. I grew up having a diverse music culture but later on I leaned more on the Alternative Rock kind of sounds. But I really don’t mind too if I hear some other kinds. I’m really very flexible when it comes to that well we all are actually. In fact, my nephew when he was just 8 years old, he was already asking his parents to buy an Avalon. That how young he was when he became musically inclined just like us.
What A Journey
On our upcoming 5th year Anniversary, we decided to do away with the usual dinner date then checking in a hotel to spend a romantic night together. We want to do something that we have never done in our sedentary lives and that’s hiking! Oh yeah, we are definitely going. I’m sure that it’s going to be an experience that we will never forget. And if we do survive this unscathed (LOL), we plan to do something adventurous and thrilling on our every Anniversary. So it’s time for us to Buy Gregory packs and let the journey begin.
The Walking Machine
When we went to Hong Kong last December, we walked almost our entire trip. If we’d be paid for every hour that we walked, we would have lots of money in our pockets already. My legs weren’t the only parts in my body that hurt so much but even the soles of my feet were burning! I have never walked that much in my life. But I had no regrets at all, it was fun seeing the different sights and also chatting and sharing stories with my friends on the way to our destination. We’ve been to lots of places and saw tons of structures. There were metal buildings, concrete ones and even buildings made of glass. But what truly struck me is the kind of bonding we have established during that time. We are friends for 2 decades now and that trip brought us even closer to each other. It was truly a trip that I will cherish and treasure forever.
My Special Day
16 more days and I’ll be turning 34 years old already. It feels like time is zooming past right before my very eyes. A whole lot has already happened for the 34 years of my existence and tons of learning too. In fact, in just a few months, my only child will be turning 4 already. It seems like it was only yesterday when I was still cradling her in my arms to feed her. Anyway, hubby asked me what I want for my birthday and I said that anything from baraka jewelry will do but I’d appreciate it more if he’ll give me something that he really thought about. Like a card with his heartfelt words or just about anything. And even if he doesn’t get me a gift for my birthday so long as he’ll spend the day with me and my daughter, that would make my special day extra special already.
Comfort Zone
I used to love wearing just shirts and jeans without any make-up on when I go out. When I learned about doing my own make-up, I thought that I’d dress up a little and glam myself up a little to match the make-up that I’m wearing. So my shirt + jeans ensemble have been pushed back in the farthest side of my wardrobe cabinet already. But lately I’ve been feeling tired and lazy to always wear make-up whenever I go that’s why slowly I’m relying on the comfort of my shirts again. I just bought new ones and for variety, I got funny tshirts too. It’s a fun addition to my statement, cartoon, vintage and baby tees. I never thought that I’d enjoy wearing them again. And I really do.
Spanner, what?!?
I know that I have mentioned here before that we’ve got a hardware store but is it too bad to say that I know zilch about our business? It’s not that I don’t care or anything it’s just that I think it is hubby’s turf and I don’t have to meddle with it anymore. But then again I don’t want hubby to think of me otherwise that’s a couple of hours ago I asked him to teach me the basics of the business and even the products we are selling. We started at the simplest item, spanner wrenches. Well, who doesn’t know what a spanner wrench looks like and its use right? Of course, everybody knows that. NOT! When he gave me one to hold, I was clueless as to what I’m going to do about it. Embarrassing huh? Well, anyway we are done with Wrench 101, I’m excited for our next lesson! Ho-humm.
The Nightmare is Over
After 3 grueling weeks my beloved cousin finally went out from the hospital. We were so relieved seeing him up and about again. His life was at risk from contracting a severe case of pneumonia. After being operated on twice and lost a lot of weight, he is now on the road to recovery. I miss seeing him in his nursing scrubs. It has been awhile. I still have this ugly image of him in my head donning a hospital gown. I t is a constant reminder that we could have lost him to the sickness. I would rather see him taking care of his patients than the other way around. I’m just so glad that the nightmare is over and he’s so back.
My Kid the Destroyer
I know that I have mentioned many times before that my only daughter is a very playful err…mischievous kid. I don’t how and when she started to have this weird fascination with windows. She loves climbing it, washing it (yeah, she splashes it with water), okay it’s more of splashing than washing, making silly faces by pressing her face on it and lastly she loves destroying the blinds too. I don’t why no matter how many times we tell her not to touch the blinds, she still ends up wrecking our venetian blinds made of hard plastic. I guess we have tro resort to buying wood blinds then for a sturdier and more durable window blinds. And if she still gets around to ruining it, maybe we’ll just have drapes instead.
Low Maintenance
It’s true that diamonds are girl’s best friend but if you can’t afford it just like I do, sapphire rings will suffice. Until such time that hubby can get me a real diamond, hehehe! Anyway, I don’t really mind if he doesn’t coz I’m not a jewelry type of girl. I’d be happier if he’ll get me a pair of shoes or a bag perhaps. What can I say, I’m just low maintenance.
Like A Kid
This coming July it’s going to be my beloved Father’s 68th birthday. This early we are already conceptualizing how we are going to surprise him on his special day. We are thinking of a children’s party theme with balloons, clowns and the works. There will be a big cake with 68 candles around it so he’ll have 68 wishes as well. There will be party hats and ice cream for everyone of course. I need to find a party planner stat. And to think of some chocolate ideas for dad’s birthday since he’s a chocolate lover err… make that monster. That even if we forbid him to stop eating it coz we are afraid that he might contract Diabetes, he still manages to sneak some in his room. Oh, I can’t wait to finally tart planning for his party. This is one party that we would like him to really have fun and just enjoy like he used to when he was still a kid.
