My nephew has just graduated from College and we were just all overwhelmed with joy finally he has finished school and about to start his journey into the real world. All his hard work and sleepless nights due to his Thesis and other requirement needed to accomplish before graduating have all paid off. I’m just so proud. On the way to his celebratory dinner with his friends, I gave him a really gorgeous and quite expensive silver cufflinks. He really liked it and said that he’d make it as a reminder that anyone who strives hard will get rewarded later on.

My Geeky Lil Brother

My youngest brother Peter is fond of anything electrical, mechanical or technical. It’s just unfortunate that he was not able to get a course related to any of it when he was still in College. Our Father wanted him to take Business Math and so he did but he did not practice it right after because his heart wasn’t really into it. I remember when we were still kids he would disassemble his toys and find out where the wires are connected and what it does and assembles them all together again. When he was in high school he can already fix Transistor radios and also Televisions and he never had any formal schooling or training about it. He’s kind of geeky though. Most of the time, he forgets that he’s speaking an “alien” word. Like when he was telling me about intellichlor salt cell and I was like Huh? And there was a big duh written all over my face and he laughs.

Mystery Solved

For a couple of days now I’m wondering why our bedroom lights suddenly turns off on it’s own. I was even beginning to think that there might be a spectre doing that. So when it turned off again, I just couldn’t take it any longer and did not stop until I found the reason for it. I was surprised that it wasn’t being caused by a ghost or some entity but the culprits yes culprits, are ants! Lots and lots of ants chomping on the wires. And they even began making the switch plate as their dessert. That’s why this weekend I need to buy brand new switchplates to replace not just the one in the bedroom but also in the other rooms.

Still My Lil Boy

My favorite nephew is turning eleven this coming August. And though in just two years he’ll be a teen already, he still loves to play. He still plays with his toy soldiers and does role playing games most of the time. While other kids his age are all about crushes and puppy loves, his are all about war and video games. He asked me to gift bhim a yomega on his birthday and as I doting Aunt, I would lovingly fulfill his wish.

Gadget Freak

My eldest brother Chris loves gadgets. If there’s one thing that I could consider as his vice that is it. He doesn’t smoke or drink and of course doesn’t womanize as well. But when it comes to new technologies, he is always abreast with it. In fact he just got his new Blackberry a few weeks back but is now beginning to ask about the price of playbook. It seems that he is really interested. I’ll give him a week and if he still doesn’t have it then he’s a gadget freak no more.

If I Win the Lottery

If I win the lottery jackpot, I’m gonna buy us a new house with an Olympic sized pool and a flower garden and a playground for my only child. I’d like to have my own prayer room too where I coul find peace and thank my God for every little blessing He has given me. And of course I would love to have a hexagon gazebo as well where hubby and I could talk about the happenings of our day and maybe could do a little dancing beneath the stars sometimes.

My Man’s Special Day

Next month it’s gonna be my man’s special day. He will be turning 33 years old. Unlike other men, he is really not into receiving gifts from anyone since he would rather save the money than be given a gift. That’s how unselfish my DH (Dear Hubby) is. But to celebrate his 33rd year here on earth, I’d like to give him something really special so I might do a little research first on gifts to impress your guy before getting him one.

In less than three weeks it’s going to be one of my most favorite occasions of the year, Mother’s Day. This is the time where we get to give back to our Mothers for all the love and care and selfless service they have been giving us since from the time we were born until even we have our own families. My Mom is really low maintenance. And little things could already bring a smile to her beautiful face. So on her special day, I’m going to shop online for Mother’s Day gift delivery and lavish her with really pretty things that she so deserve. I love her so. She’s the greatest Mom in the world.

For Father’s Day

In less than two months it’s going to be Father’s Day once again. And this early, I’m already thinking what to give my Dad. He’s got a lot of things already plus I’m always having a hard time looking for the perfect gift for men. That is my waterloo ever since. That’s why I’m thinking that maybe I’ll just get him a Rocky Patel. Very simple but still very manly.

My niece who is just turning thirteen years old next year is musically inclined. Actually, I have witnessed that an early age of six she’s got a prowess in singing already. When she reached eleven, she studied how to play the guitar all by herself and she learned it. When asked what is her motto in life, she would tell you that it’s “You can do everything and be anything if you believe in yourself” and she just made that up. She loves reading magazines or articles all about music and she’s got this habit of memorizing the terms and even the equipments used. She was asking me the other day if I know what a M-Audio is and I told her “I don’t have the foggiest notion.
