Haven For My Angel

In about 6 months, I will be giving birth to my first born. We are really excited. As early as now, my husband and I are already preparing the things we need for our little angel. From infant feeding and care needs down to the clothes. What excites me the most is the preparation for our baby’s nursery. One by one, we are filling it with pieces of baby furniture.

Since we are yet to find out the gender of our baby, I am checking out on some baby cribs online and I take note on beautiful designs that interest me in order for me to save time and energy.

I can’t wait for that day to arrive. Did I mention that I’m excited?

Work It!

I have been complaining of calf pain and my doctor advised me to do some exercises to promote blood circulation and loosen my seemed to be cramped up muscles. With tons of work, social and family commitments I have this season, I don’t think I could squeeze in gym workouts. If only I could get myself exercise equipment, I am sure I could spare an hour daily to burn some calories right at the convenience of my home.

Prevention is better than cure. Having this in mind, isn’t it a must to make safety knives, safety cutters and box cutters handy? We need to protect ourselves from cuts caused by accidents while handling pointed tools such as knives and cutters. However, while safety is our priority, it is also great to incorporate comfort and style in getting these hardwares.

Healing Me

There are loads of celebrities who have been reported checking in and out of rehabs as if these were hotels. It’s good that they earn big bucks to pay for their treatment program but what about those whose income is just sufficient to get through the day? They must ensure that the addiction treatment that they will get for their loved ones will be worth their time and money.

When you are working in a call center that operates 24/7, it is rewarding to get a sound sleep. You are in for a treat if your place has a space for contemporary bedroom furniture. You must ensure that you are getting the quality snooze time whether you are up for a power nap or an eight-hour sleep because this is the best time your body regenerates cells and lost energy.

There are people who love to do backseat driving and there are those who hate these backseat drivers especially those who are the ones sitting behind the wheels. One will say, “I told you to go that way” while the other one will snap back and say, “Well I want it this way!” This could be avoided if they’ve got GPS. Isn’t it cool to have “someone” who will guide you and not yell at you if you missed a turn?

There are so many people I know who seemed to have formed a habit of drug rehab hopping. Simply because they are having relapses. They have been presented with several programs but none of these has made them turn their backs away from drug addiction even for the shortest period of time. Pens for Christmas

One of the most important possessions of any writer is his pen. Ask one and he will say that he actually has a collection. I myself love pens. It is a good thing that pen designs have evolved and are becoming innovative. When I went to Singapore, I brought home pens with Merlion design as gift for my friends. It lights up whenever you write it down. It is Christmas season once again. It is okay if I will receive another pen.

Paella, anyone?

Just a few more sleep and Christmas is right on our doorstep already. I can see the streets brightly decorated with colorful lights, hear timeless Christmas songs on the airwaves and see busy shoppers going to and fro beating the huge crowd and traffic to buy their loved ones Christmas presents. If majority of the people look forward to exchanging gifts, I on the other hand look forward to our yearly Noche Buena.

It’s our sumptuous dinner on the eve of Christmas. My mom never fails to prepare one of my most favorite dishes, paella! I like the vegetable and meat version though since I’m not too fond of seafood. I love how my mom mixes all the ingredients along with the rice, saffron and olive oil. Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water it’s as if I can taste it already.

Just a little trivia for you guys, did you know that paella means frying pan in Valencia? I didn’t know this until I’ve asked my mom what it means because all along I thought it means rice dish. Anyway, can’t contain my excitement any longer, I might convince her to cook it for me even before Christmas. I just hope that she agrees.
