Let’s Talk It Over

This is just simply the hard times. Almost everybody has financial problems and having a difficult time making ends meet. My husband and I are both working and we only have one child, our beloved four year old daughter but most of the times we still find ourselves sometimes with little money in our pockets. We’ve got savings but we are still confused as to what we are to invest it with. I heard from a friend that he’s investing his in gold bullion. And he said that he has already received his ROI (Return of Investment). Sounds like a pretty good idea. I might just try it. I just need to seriously talk to hubby about this.

Busy As a Beaver

My brother works for an International Stock Exchange here in our country. He frequently gets sent to different places like New York, London and India for business purposes. He is a very busy person. We seldom talk coz he’s busy as a beaver (building a new dam) whenever he’s in the office. Lately, to support the cost cutting goal of their company, they are utilizing ActConferencing.com audio conferencing to speak with their clients all over the world. It is indeed a good way of saving the company a huge amount of money.

Exciting Weekend

It will be an “US” weekend for hubby and me this week. We will be celebrating our 5th year wedding Anniversary. I feel quite guilty leaving our only daughter with Nanny for one night. I’m sure she will cry her eyes and heart out without her Mom and Dad beside her when she goes to sleep at night. But we really need this. If we want to grow as a couple we have to find a way to get out from the house and have an alone time somewhere. Hubby’s so sweet to think of a romantic escapade. I can’t wait what he’s got in store for the two of us. I have a series of surprises up my sleeves too, I’ll start it off with a real sexy lingerie. Just a few more days…

Overflowing

My longtime friend, who is now residing in the US, has bought a new house. She was so ecstatic to tell me all about the details of their new home. She married there already. We even Skyped and showed me all the different rooms in the house. She was even more excited to show me her flower patch and porch and mini library. Everything that she had ever wished for in a house had come true and I’m just so glad for her. She said that the only thing lacking is one of the address plaques for house and she can finally call it their home. I’m just overwhelmed with joy for them. The blessings they are both receiving are overflowing.

Better Safe than Sorry

While we were having our weekly family dinner, my BIL told me about his petrifying experience while he was crossing a busy street one day. He said that it was just a few seconds before the WALK sign would be changed to STOP he ran to get to the other side and when the lights turned GREEN that’s when he heard a loud thud followed by blood curdling scream from a woman. When he looked back he saw the woman lying on the pavement with a man hovering above her. His face was ashen and the woman was lying unconscious on the ground with thick blood streaming down her face. The driver of the van who hit their motorcycle went down and immediately called the paramedics. It was very unfortunate that the woman was not wearing any helmet as well as the driver but he wasn’t injured. They should have worn gmax motorcycle helmets to keep them safe and protect them from any danger. My BIL doesn’t know what happened to those passengers but he mumbled a small prayer for them both.

Nail Talk

I don’t know why I always end up having in-grown toe nails and that goes for both of my big toes. No matter how hard I try to cut my nails the right way just after a week and I can’t walk staright anymore because nails have already grown and has started piercing the soft tissue in my toes. I really envy those people who can cut their nail whichever way they want and still don’t get any ingrown. Good thing that I could always rely on my seki edge. It has never let me down.

Kids These Days

I don’t know what it is with kids and laziness in this time and age. None of my nephews and nieces are willing to lift a finger in helping out in household chores. It seems that they are either too busy or just simply lazy. My nephews are always in front of the computer playing video games and my nieces are always on the telephone talking non-stop to their girlfriends after being with them for the entire day at school. I even bought push lawn mowers just for them to have the interest in mowing the lawn but it did not work. They are lucky that they were still not born when the vacuum cleaner, dish washer, electric feather duster, washing machine and the likes were not yet invented.

He Dared

My adventurous friend Tony well make that daredevil to describe him best was doing a crazy stunt on his motorcycle when it toppled over and broke his leg. He has undergone foot surgery because of it. Though he is already on his way to full recovery, he still needs a knee walker for him to be able to go anywhere. We were kidding him that he could just hop like a bunny around the house and just use his knee walker when he goes grocery shopping or strolling in the park with his driver. I hope he gets well real soon and real fast.

Light It Up

On April 29th we will be celebrating our 5th year wedding Anniversary already and that’s how old our home’s going to be as well. It’s just sad that when we had it constructed, it seemed like the contractors short-changed us bought inferior quality materials.l Even the paints are peeling and the ceiling in the bathroom looks like it is going to crash on us anytime soon. I’m just happy that hubby promised he will have everything fixed and the first fixture that I’d like to buy are home lights. Our lighting fixtures are almost all broken and I don’t want to keep on coming to a quite dark home coz it looks so gloomy and even my mood is affected. I’d like to make our house homey and warm again.
