Traces of Time

As I look at myself in the mirror, I notice the crow’s feet around my eyes and laugh lines too. It was like yesterday when I was just a babe in the woods and now I already have my own baby girl and married to a wonderful man. I’m not sure if I want to erase the traces of time from my face. It’s a beautiful reminder of all the punch and blows that life threw at me. Some I had luckily dodged and some I’ve patiently endured but good or bad, there were learnings that helped mold me into a better person. But just the same, if I do change my mind, the best wrinkle cream is just at my arms length.
