Soap Opera

I remember watching a particular court drama from one of the popular soaps in the country. The prosecutor was trying to convict the owner of the company who buried sacks and sacks of asbestos years ago in their mining company that caused multiple deaths of the people living nearby the mine. Each of them died of mesothelioma, a type of cancer caused by inhaling asbestos. There was this particular scene when the prosecuting lawyer was cross examining the accused owner of the company that made him admit the crime because of her line of questioning. I thought to myself if it were true, she could have been one of the best Mesothelioma lawyers in the country. I really got carried away. And I found that scene wonderfully weaved by the writers. I felt like I was really inside the court room and witnessing all of it. That’s why when the accused got convicted I even stood up and shouted YES! So moving!

Free Dinner

My cousin rang me one day and was asking for my expert opinion reagrding his new business. He is selling both prepaid cards for mobile and fixed telephone lines. He asked me what I thought is the best way for him to offer these products to the public. So I let my creative juices flow freely and suggested that he should invest in point of purchase displays if he wants his products to sell in the market. In that way it already covers both the display and product packaging. He thought it was an amazing idea! His cards now are selling like hotcakes. I joked that maybe he should treat me for an expensive dinner and he bought it! In a few, he will be fetching me and we will eat in a restaurant that I so long to try out but never had the money to afford it. And now, I’ll be having free dinner! Thank you brain!
