Insured for Life

My Father-in-law is a very generous man. Though he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth, he never fails to share with us his many blessings especially to his one and only granddaughter Sophia. Sophia is my 20 month old daughter and as early as now Daddy as I fondly call him thought of getting her insurance. He browsed over the various life insurance rates given to him by his agent friend and when he was able to choose the best for Sophia, he paid for it right away. Thanks Daddy, now my darling daughter is already insured for life.

Mishaps

Accidents as always are really hard to avoid. It will just happen whether you are prepared for it or not. Sometimes even if you are being careful already you still cannot do anything about it. That’s why it still pays to be ready all the time. We should be thankful that our governments thought of social security disabilitybenefit to protect and cover us from any accidents. Having this will make our lives worry and fuss free.

Don’t Insult Our Intelligence

I saw this infomercial on T.V. about a certain product that treats acne. And it was a hilarious one! At first a boy in his puberty with a face full of acne will be shown on T.V. Second scene shows the same boy applying the product on his face and in the last scene, a different boy is being shown and giving his testimonial that the product really worked! Baloney! Can you believe that? Two different people and they want the consumers to believe that the acne product did that to the boy. I was expecting for the boy’s acne to clear up but not to the extent that his face will totally change and transform into a different person! Insulting the consumers intelligence by making them believe that theirs is the best acne treatment there is really the pits!

Pain, Pain Go Away!

When I gave birth almost 2 years ago, it was the first time in my life that I have experienced having the worst case of hemorrhoids. It was really painful and I had no idea how to stop it from hurting. So off I went to my OB Gynecologist to and ask her what is the best hemorrhoid treatment that she could give me and I was happy because in just a few days all cleared and the pain went away forever.

Body Beautiful

I’m just so proud of my friend Kristie. She used to be really on the heavy side but now with balanced meals and proper diet she has lost a lot already. She used to think that she’s a lost cause but when she stumbled upon the best diet supplements in the market, everything became easy for her. She regained the confidence she once lost and she’s happier now that she gets to wear sexier clothes. I tease her most of the time and call her “body beautiful” and she’ll just smile with so much pride in her eyes.

Fussy Night

We are on alert mode right now in the house since our little princess has allergic reactions to some allergen that we do not of. She woke up from her routine afternoon nap covered in eczema like rashes on her arms and legs. We are monitoring her, looking and waiting for other signs that are really alarming. We hope and pray to God that nothing worse would happen aside from the ugly looking rashes. This night sure will be full of tossing and turning. We would all keep an eye open.

Perfect Coach Gift

My nephew son Jacob loves to play soccer in their school. In fact, he has become their player of the month for a number of times already. My Jacob always prides himself with hard work and determination. But he refuses to take all the credit. He said that he’ll not be as good as he is if not for his coach. He’s got high respect and admiration for him. And as a token of appreciation, he intends to give him something special on his coach’s upcoming birthday. I’ll be accompanying him on Sunday to look through different coach gifts.

Loco for Mango

Last two Sundays ago we went to our growing favorite mall at Bonifacio High. Sophie just ran around and had a blast at a park like structure of the mall. She loved looking at cute and cuddly dogs and made new friends with kids and adults alike. That’s my Sophie, she is such a social butterfly. When she grew tired of playing, we went to A Different Bookstore (name of the shop). It’s a coffee shop on the first floor and a floor full of different materials on the second. It was a real haven for Sophie and I since we both love books so much. But if you are wondering what made her smile her happy smile, I’m telling you this early that it’s got nothing to do with a book. ;-)

The next pic was taken after she said “yum, yum” and “more”. Here she is with lips like sugar:

We reprimanded her when she tried to open her mouth full of food so she just smiled for the cam:

You’ll see what made her a happy and satisfied baby after this jump.

Starbucks' Mango Cheese Cake

It was so delectable that even our 20 month old daughter was not able to resist it. For all of you with sweet tooth out there, you must try this and just like Sophie you might go Loco for Mango too. :-)

Meet Me Halfway

I bought my husband a 23 inch flat screen monitor to satisfy his gaming addiction. And because of this, I only get to use the computer once in a blue moon. So he thought up of a solution to our budding problem and offered to buy a Linksys router so I can still use my laptop and do my blogging thru Wi-Fi. And it solved everything! I get to use my I-touch as well while he plays enjoyably with his RPG on-line games. Now that’s what meeting halfway is all about.

Soap Opera

I remember watching a particular court drama from one of the popular soaps in the country. The prosecutor was trying to convict the owner of the company who buried sacks and sacks of asbestos years ago in their mining company that caused multiple deaths of the people living nearby the mine. Each of them died of mesothelioma, a type of cancer caused by inhaling asbestos. There was this particular scene when the prosecuting lawyer was cross examining the accused owner of the company that made him admit the crime because of her line of questioning. I thought to myself if it were true, she could have been one of the best Mesothelioma lawyers in the country. I really got carried away. And I found that scene wonderfully weaved by the writers. I felt like I was really inside the court room and witnessing all of it. That’s why when the accused got convicted I even stood up and shouted YES! So moving!
