Cruising Together

It’s summer time once again! Bring out that skimpy bathing suit and suntan lotions. It’s time for barbecue cook-out as well. Summer only means two things, relaxation and having good clean fun with friends and families. It’s just scorching hot here in Manila and instead of basking in the sun, I would rather go somewhere not just fun but thrilling as well like that of Branson vacation packages. Besides, hubby wanted us to cruise this summer so we might get the one with the dinner cruise for 2. What a romantic way to spend the summer.

Slow Metabolism

I used to not have any difficulty curtailing my cravings. I usually just think about my goal and that is to get thin and I get it. But now that I’m not getting any younger, I guess my not losing weight even if I am dieting has to be blamed to my slow metabolism already. And to top it all, our office life is rather sedentary that’s why we spend almost the entire day seating around. After my pig-out sessions brought about by PMS, I cannot just diet anymore and expect to lose what I have gained during that time, I have to drink weight loss pill pill also in order to achieve my pre pregnancy weight.

Like A Baby

With the result of the biopsy, me having skin cancer, the derma pathologist advised me to refrain from using any scented products that I will use on my skin. She said that my skin lesions might get aggravated and my condition might worsen. So I heeded her advice and just used phisoderm ever since. I only use their soap because I am not really a lotion type of person. It is what my skin trusts and recommended by many dermatologists as well. So if you have a skin that is sensitive like that of a baby’s only use phisoderm and your skin will be protected like never before.

Her Only Wish

My poor sister in law lost her second baby again to miscarriage. She is clueless as to what is really happening inside her body and what causes her multiple miscarriages. She followed the doctor’s orders to the letter and she did everything she could just to keep her baby alive but sadly she still lost him. I remember how happy she was when she first told me that she’s pregnant again. I was overjoyed! My sister in law only wants one thing more than anything in this world and that is to become a mother. She’s just so depressed right now that I’ll be advising her to try natural depression treatments just to calm her nerves. I just hope and pray that the next time she does get pregnant that she’d be able to carry it full term and give birth to a healthy, bouncing child.

Pure Happiness

My cousin just gave birth to a healthy baby girl she nicknamed Pretzel a couple of months ago. She’s so adorable and I feel honored that my cousin invited me to be one of the godmothers of Pretzel and of course I answered Yes and that I would be extremely delighted to be one. She’s just a picture of pure happiness because of the coming of her second child to their lives. Her only dilemma right now is to lose the unwanted post pregnancy weight. Her friend advised her to take alli diet pill and I still have to see its effects on her when we see each other next month.

Sweat It Out

In connection to my previous post about my problem area in my body, I even tried taking weight loss pills just to lose that fat around my belly but it still didn’t work. I have tried everything (except exercise) just to achieve my flat tummy again when I was still a maiden but I guess it takes more than diet and drugs for me to shed off that excess flabs. I really need to sweat it out. That’s why this coming weekend hubby and I decided to jog around the subdivision before the sun completely rises.

Jelly Belly

When I gave birth 19 months ago, it wasn’t really hard for me to shed off my post pregnancy fats because of sleepless nights that caused me to lose my appetite and of course taking care of a highly active baby like Sophia will really make you lost weight fast without meaning to. I went back to my pre-pregnancy weight in no time but there is still one thing that I wasn’t able to achieve even with all of that and that is to reduce belly fat. Until now it is still a struggle for me to lose my unsightly jelly belly. I guess exercise is the only thing that could do that for me.

False Alarm

I remember a couple of years back when I was in a mall and there was an announcement about a suspected bomb in the parking area. I’ve seen security officers with huge sniffing dogs running around the parking lot and all the people were starting to panic already. When the bomb squad came and they have convex mirrors with them to check under and around the vehicles. After an hour’s search, the team called it off and concluded the day with an announcement that all was just a “False Alarm.”

Who Is Getting The Boot?

With the entire buzz from the grapevine that there will be another bout of retrenchment in the company, people are becoming real busy updating their resumes. It’s not that they are anticipating it but they are just getting ready if ever the inevitable does happen. Who can blame them if they panic; the first time was extremely shocking so they just want to be prepared this time around.

The Big Day

This coming October we’ll be turning 4 years in this house already. And ever since we really haven’t thought of having it repainted. I just noticed that some of the paint outside and inside the house has already peeled off. I’m thinking of starting with the garage floor because it’s the most used. I’ve talked hubby already and we’ll be scheduling the Big repainting day as soon as possible.
