Fragile
Life is so fragile. One day you are still in the pink of health, the next day you’ll receive news that you are dying of a terminal illness already. When I reach the age that I need to retire from working, I’ll be sure to secure annuities from my life insurance so that I’ll be taken care of for my entire lifetime. I don’t want to be a burdensome to my family so it’s better to be prepared than act upon it when it is already too late.
Praying for a Friend
It’s just so sad to learn that before Christmas came, a lot of bad tidings have happened to people I know. One of my office mate’s Mom passed away 3 days before Christmas and now I was just told that my good friend Pam’s Mom suffered a massive stroke on Christmas Day and was just out from ICU yesterday. The doctors are asking her and the rest of their family to decide whether to just administer meds to her Mom or to operate on her as soon as possible. Whatever they will decide upon, the doctors cannot guarantee if their Mom will live normally again. It’s a tough decision to make. And the hospital bills are harder to handle. They are just thankful that they have gotten their Mom cheap health insurance before all of this happened. It’s truly a big help to them in times like this. I’ll continue praying for Nanay’s speedy recovery.
