Superwoman

My Aunt Susan who is living in the States is a Superwoman. Not that she has extraordinary powers, it seems like it actually. She’s a very hands on Mom to her two mischievous boys, a doting wife to my Uncle Nonoy, a vice president of a large firm, a designer of wedding gowns, an active member of a nearby church and a friend to many. I wonder how she’s able to wear all these hats but she definitely can with flying colors. In fact despite her busy schedule, she’ll be extending a hand to one of her friends regarding his motorhome towing. Nothing is impossible with Aunt Su. I did tell you that she’s a superhero, right? A hero in her own right.

Wise Choice

With the devastation that typhoon Ketsana left our country, hundreds were left homeless and even car less. Only the roofs of the houses and their cars were visible in the middle of the flood. Some were able to bounce back at once, some are still under state of shock and don’t know how to start again. Until now they are still uncertain of what would happen to whatever is left of their lives. I have one friend whose car sank in the muddy flood waters brought about by Ketsana. And what’s worse is that forces of nature is not a valid reason for him to be able to claim his car insurance. That’s why he is thinking of transferring to a different one who covers unsual incidents such as the above house level flood he has experienced. With all the incoming storms in the country, I think he is making a wise choice.
