Silent Servants
Aside from my husband’s plastic business, he is also into hardware. Their company is one of the distributors of power tools in the country needed in building a home or any establishment for that matter. He has a lot of clients from all over. There are weeks that he’s so busy pushing papers and doing the packing of the goods as well. Hubby is so hard-working on the border of being a workaholic actually. From one of our many conversations about the business, he mentioned that some of the trucks should be changed already because several of it are already worn-out and dilapidated. He said that the trucks have been serving him for a good 10 years already and it’s time for them to rest. His exact words are “they have been dependable, loyal but silent servants and it’s just fair to give them a decent break.” When hubby is talking like our trucks are human beings I do not find it weird at all because we are one and the same when it comes to paying homage to inanimate objects. Anyway, next week hubby will be looking at new trucks and truck accessories to take the place of our faithful “silent servants.” Hopefully, they will if not surpass but at least would be at par to the service our old trucks rendered to us.
Dreading Christmas
No matter how much you try to stick to a straight diet, it’s just so difficult to keep a solid ground sometimes. Sweets, steaks and junk foods are just so hard to resist. I swore off eating anything sweet because it’s the number one food of cancer cells but since I really cannot totally do away with it (I’ll be hypoglycemic if I do…excuses, excuses
); I eat dark chocolates occasionally instead. At least it’s dark, it’s healthier than milk chocolate and good for the heart as well according to the French that is. I believe them of course! Anyway, I am actually dreading Christmas since it would be tougher for me to say a firm NO to these foods! And if ever I would give in, I’ll make sure that I’ll be taking the best fat burner there is in the market to keep both my shape and sanity together.
