Missing You
I remember when my grandfather was still alive; he can’t live without a cigar on his mouth for a day. He preferred it more than cigarettes. He was not really a chain smoker, he usually just has one after dinner and he will sit in the veranda and look at the sky. That was his form of relaxation. I would usually join him and he will start telling me stories of his life. I’ve learned a lot through those talks that we had at the veranda. His teachings will forever live in me. It made me smile when I was able to chance upon cigars online yesterday. Grandpa will be so happy if he were alive. I miss you Grand Papa.
Starting Anew
Many of my country men were left homeless by typhoon Ketsana. All that were left of their homes are inches and inches of mud and lots of water. Even one of my good friends Anna wasn’t spared by this. They bought their house years ago but because of the goodness of her heart she let her in laws stay there instead of moving in. They have just recently transferred to their new home after many years of renting. Never did they imagine that their home will be almost wiped out by the storm. It was truly heartbreaking for her but knowing how strong her character is, I know that she is slowly picking up the pieces and putting it all back together to start anew. And the first thing that she has to replace is their flood soaked main door. She will be choosing from any of the a Naples Fl custom doors she has seen on the catalogue. She knows that just like her these doors are strong, sturdy and durable.
