Scared of Mommy

As I have mentioned in my previous posts, hubby just loves playing with game consoles. He was torn between buying a playstation 3 and the other brand before. But of course PS3 won him over. He is so addicted right now. If he had a choice he will stop working altogether and just play all day and all night, 24/7 so to speak. As you all know D. H. (READ: Dear Husband) works here in the house, when it’s my off from work I catch him stealing time to play his favorite RPG online. I always scold him and threat to tell on him to his boss…my mom-in-law. And guess what? It works like a charm.

Dolling-Up Her New House

My newly hitched best friend is moving in with her husband’s family. But they were given a small house of their own inside the compound. Not just a room but a dainty and quaint home. She is so excited to buy modern furniture, appliances, and decorations. She’s responsible for the designing and beautifying of their abode. She chose Apple Green paint for her walls in the living room and Saffron for her kitchen. She even bought decorative ceramic tile for her sink. I’m just so happy for her! I’d be bringing her beautiful paintings as gifts for her upcoming house blessing.

Accidents Happen

I’m sure you have all heard of the saying that accidents happen when you least expect it. My uncle who is a judge was such in a hurry to get to court yesterday but still very cautious in his driving. But he was shocked when he heard a loud crash. He did not know that it was his car that was bumped from the side because he did not see where the speeding car comes from. Good thing that my Dad gave him auto insurance quotes last month to choose from. Now, he won’t have to think of anything else anymore because his chosen car insurance company got it all covered. It really pays to be prepared at all times.

No Worries!

My friend called me up and said that they will me moving out from her in-laws ancestral home already. It’s not because she doesn’t get along well with her in-laws but because she just wants to have a taste of independence and freedom. They have been married for 10 years already and have 2 kids. I guess it’s really time for them to leave the wings of her husband’s parents and stand with their own two feet. She’s just worried that she might have a hard time looking for movers because their place is away from the city. I told her about long distance movers and she was delighted! Now, everything is set and ready. And they will be moving out this coming weekend.

Foiled Plan

My brother in-law dreamed of having his own computer shop before. He was so convinced that he would earn a lot thru this business. He even planned of having a cafe in his shop. Everything was all set and he was about to purchase desktop computers when his business partner backed out! Bad for him because everything was almost ready but he did not make sure that his partner should be ready as well. They used to be friends but now they are not in speaking terms anymore. I hope they can save whatever is left of their friendship though.

No big tummy

This office mate of ours is really funny. He said this afternoon that if only problems could make you thin then maybe he would be fit and more good looking.Yes, he is somewhat heavy with big tummy and big arms! I advised him that maybe he could try weight loss pills especially that he does not like to exercise that much. How about his eating habits? Yes, he has to reformat that too!

Shape it up!

Shape Up shoes are really innovative. Yes, you could shape up while you walk wearing this shoe design. I will tell my friends about this. Well, we are allowed to wear rubber shoes during Saturday and Sunday. Perhaps, stair climbing with shape up shoes on would be a great walk out and would make them to lose some weight. How about me? Yes, I would definitely buy one too!

Respiratory diseases

There has always been a link between Asbestosis & Lung Cancer. Exposure to asbestos, just like exposure to smoking can cause lung cancer. I wonder if plastics has asbestos. As far as I know, one could get it from roofing materials like hard boards used for ceiling. It is also present in cement. That is why, most construction workers develop respiratory symptoms.

Asbestosis could be considered as a milder form compared to lung cancer. There would come a time though that asbestosis would progress to the dreaded “C”.

Beauty regimen

Go to the bathroom of a real lady and you will find there all kinds of beauty products like eye creams, moisturizers, lotions, bath shampoo, facial wash, and a whole lot more. Women are high maintenance, sometimes.

My own bathroom is just simple. I only keep there the basics like my favorite soap and hair shampoo & conditioner combo. You know why? I have a separate room for all my beauty regimens.
