Smooth Criminal

Winner Takes It All
My friend in the US broke up with her live-in partner and she had to move out as in pronto. But she had a hard time looking for the perfect place that would suit her small savings. Getting a place in the city was out of her budget that’s why I advised her of Outer Banks rentals. And she was never happier! And now, romance is even just around the corner for her. New place, new love. Its a win-win situation after all.
Traces of Time
As I look at myself in the mirror, I notice the crow’s feet around my eyes and laugh lines too. It was like yesterday when I was just a babe in the woods and now I already have my own baby girl and married to a wonderful man. I’m not sure if I want to erase the traces of time from my face. It’s a beautiful reminder of all the punch and blows that life threw at me. Some I had luckily dodged and some I’ve patiently endured but good or bad, there were learnings that helped mold me into a better person. But just the same, if I do change my mind, the best wrinkle cream is just at my arms length.
Short-lived Happiness
As I have mentioned in my previous post, I shouldn’t have rejoiced too early that I’ve lost 4 pounds last Thursday. Because now, Ive gained it all back in just 5 days! I don’t know why its so hard to say NO to red meat, junk food, sweets and most esp. RICE! Its that time of the month again when its so easy for women to indulge in anything that they can sink their teeth in and that is whenever the red flag is up. I’m back to square one again with a faithful ally, diet pills. I guess my happiness is just short-lived.
