Welcome to Computer Age

Trends nowadays are fast changing and life altering. From clothing, accessories and of course technology. I remember when I had my first mobile phone eons ago, all I wanted was just the text and call features of it. Now, there are mp3s, videos, games and a whole lot more that you want to cramp all inside your small gadget. That’s why from the first storage card which is called MMC or Multimedia Card it evolved to SD (Secure Digital) then to mini SD and now micro sd. With our advance technology in this time and age, who knows maybe one day they will invent something that is smaller than this. A nano SD perhaps?

Thank Heavens!

I remember when I bought my brother his first mobile phone; he was so excited that he downloaded applications, games, music, and videos all at the same time forgetting that the phone has a limited memory. It hanged and the applications wouldn’t function properly because of it. He was forced to erase some of his favorite games, songs, videos etc. He was wearing a long face that’s why I secretly went to a mall nearby and bought memory sticks. He was ecstatic when I gave it to him that he immediately restored all the eradicated files that he so wanted. Thank heavens for memory sticks!

You Get What You Give

One of our businesses is supplying janitorial products to numerous malls in the city. We have our own brooms, dust pans, dust bins; floor mops even doormats and wash cloths. We see to it that we only give them quality merchandises that’s why we’ve been in this industry for many years now. We make have a bar code maker and a barcode scanner as well. Before we deliver our products to our various customers, we try checking our bar codes with the scanner to make sure that there would be no difficulty reading the prices. We are thankful that our customers give back what we give them by staying true and loyal to us all these years.

The Price for Binge Eating

Yesterday we went out as a family to celebrate hubby’s birthday. It was Ryan’s first birthday with our darling baby Sophie so I made the day special for both of them. We arrived at the mall at around 1 p.m. and went on to have lunch at one of the most popular restaurants there. If you were reading my previous posts, you know already that it’s been awhile that I haven’t been eating rice. But yesterday I broke that and decided to enjoy the day without having a care on what I eat. I ate to my heart’s content. After the heavy lunch, (we had steak by the way my treat to hubby and my Nanny) we went to an Ice Cream parlor and had large servings each crowned with all the mouth-watering toppings like crunch, flakes, choco malts, choco chips, choco chip cookies, jellies, marshmallows, candy sprinkles etc. It was so yummy that hubby wasn’t able to resist having a second helping of it. Then later in the afternoon, after shopping for clothes, shoes and accessories for us 3, I bought my Nanny beautiful head pieces too. All of us were happy and hungry again so we stopped by our favorite stall selling delectable Jamaican patties and bought fruit shakes too. We resumed with window shopping this time and around 7 p.m. we went to another fave restaurant of ours and had Extra Supreme Nachos and Onion Rings for appetizers, Grilled and Breaded Pork Chops for main course with rice pilaf, corn on the COB, potato wedges and mashed potatoes. It was a feast fit for a king. But I’m afraid that the repercussion of my pigging-out is that I won’t fit into my jeans again. I guess I have to sweat all of it out through rigid exercise, begin my no rice rule again and of course take Phenphedrine to get back in shape.

My Best Friend’s Boys

My guy best friend Dennis happens to settle in the US. And though there is a H1N1 flu scare there right now, his kids still can’t be stopped to wander around. His boys just love to go to so many places. It’s as if these kids never run out of energy. They are always on the move. That’s why their Dad promised them that next weekend they’ll be visiting another new place. And next on their list is Westgate.

Blame It On Adobo!

For four months I had refrained from eating rice. I was tempted a thousand times but I remained firm in my decision. I told myself that my months of sacrificing will be put to waste if I will succumb to my cravings. I combined all the best diet there is in the market and even took top weight loss pills to lose weight fast and if I’m going to give in I will probably go back to square one again. But then my sister in law, who’s a great cook, made fried pork Adobo one weekend and I crumbled. It was so delicious that I wasn’t able to resist not eating rice. From then on I give in to “temptation” every once in a while and I eat rice to my heart’s content. And there’s nothing to blame but my sister in law’s succulent and mouth watering fried pork Adobo.

Home Sweet Home

My friend is looking for an ideal house. She wants something that is away from the city and closer to nature. Somewhere that has an easy access to the ocean and to the woods as well. She wants a simple life and a quaint but elegant looking house is just right for her. I’ve suggested Outer Banks homes to her and she was ecstatic! She immediately searched the net for it and found the perfect home for her and her family. They will be moving in next week and I just can’t contain my happiness in being a part of it.
