I bought her dainty denim skirt at Bebe B Bush and her cute little black onesie at Faded Glory. Isn’t she a sight for sore eyes? :-)

Sensible Shopper

My colleague and friend Ash is having his first house built. I’m so proud of him to have followed his childhood dream and that is to have not just a house but a home of his own. He was asking me for tips and advices on what to get for his abode. I told him that it’s doesn’t have to be expensive, it could be just a discount furniture but if it’s really tasteful and classy then it doesn’t really matter if it was made by someone who’s got a big name in furniture making. With the global crisis that we are experiencing right now, it’s wise to do thrifty and sensible shopping among everything else.

Beautiful Creatures

My uncle loves raising and racing horses. He’s got a ranch in the suburbs and he takes pains in grooming and taking good care of all his horses. I had the pleasure of visiting him once and it was a delightful experience. I’ve always been afraid of horses especially those that I see on movies getting wild all of a sudden and will trample you to death. But visiting the ranch changed the way I see horses. Horses are gentle and peaceful animals. You just have to show them love and they will love you back. They are very faithful and loyal to their handlers too. That’s why my uncle never fails to nourish his horses and on top of that he gives them horse supplements too. That’s the way my uncle shows his love and appreciation for the most beautiful creatures in the animal kingdom.

Surprised Child

I took this quiz to gauge the inner child in me and I was quite happy with the results. Take this quiz too to know yours.

Your Inner Child Is Surprised

My Way or the Highway!

I admit that I’m partly to blame why my fifteen year old nephew is so bullheaded. I spoiled him rotten. He’s the second child of one of my most favorite brothers Charlie, that’s why he became my fave among my many nieces and nephews. I know that it’s not good to play favorites but it’s too late, we are already reaping everything that we sowed in him. And our fruit is his stubbornness. Just recently, my dad learned that he is already joining the thrashers in skateboarding. I don’t know if it has always been his passion or it’s just the in thing now. What’s really alarming is that he skateboards without any safety equipment on him. We’re scared that he might meet an accident one day because of his refusal to put on his skateboard gears. I just wish that he’ll start listening to his grandfather and stop being so foolhardy. I’m starting to get really anxious; I think it’s time to call his dad in Ireland.

Time to Hit the Gym

I remember when I was still unmarried and younger of course; it was just so easy to lose weight. I’d just go on a balanced diet, plus regular exercise, get enough sleep and I’ll have a slim body once again. Now, it’s so hard to lose even a pound especially that I’ve given birth seven months ago. No matter what I do it’s just doubly hard for me to curtail my cravings, to have a constant motivation to continue exercising and since my daughter sleeps very late, I barely get any good night’s rest anymore. I was cleaning our room one day and saw my old and dilapidated gym membership card. I remembered how good I felt about myself when I was still going to the gym almost every day. I want to feel and look good again that’s why I decided that I’ll be hitting the gym again real soon. I just have to get hubby’s permission. I hope he’ll allow me.

Wishful Thinking

I so love accessories. Even if my clothes are just plain and simple sometimes, accessories make it more hip and funky. My most favorite accessory is a watch. I’ve got all kinds of watches in different colors to match my attire. Nothing really fancy but it doesn’t matter because it is still fashionable. Affordable yet very stylish. I am not saying that I don’t wish to have a luxury watch someday okay? Who doesn’t want one? I hope hubby will read this and will get me one this coming Valentines. I’ll keep my fingers crossed, ha! ha! :-)

Let There Be Light

My little baby girl loves to play with anything that her teeny weenie hands can reach. Be it her own washcloth, a bubble wrap, an empty carton and of course the light switch. She finds enjoyment in seeing light on the wall coming from her dad’s maglite, more so when her dad makes shadow puppets. Any form of light never fails to amaze her. Our drop lights in the dining room do not escape her tiny fingers also whenever her nanny carries her and stands near the light switch. We would jokingly holler “Let there be light!” and she will immediately turn on the light then she’ll shriek with so much joy. One time we did it again and after saying the magic words, there was none then she clicked the switch again but still no light. Imagine the disappointment on her cute little face. Poor thing! We thought that the light source was the problem so we bought a new lamp for replacement but we found out later from the electrician who serviced us that it was the electrical ballast that got busted already. He said that it’s expensive and that I might as well buy a new one. That’s why I’m searching for lighting fixtures online now to look for the most durable one. I missed seeing my little girl’s face light up every time she sees the drop lights illuminate the entire dining room. I hope to get one ASAP to make my sweet cakes smile again.
